So what was the point of that? I mean it was decently animated, but there was nothing to it. I saw Parody in the title so I thought this would be like a comedy or something that had more than one line of dialogue. It's not very fun watching Cecil going through the process of a random battle, it's a nice test of your skills, but I was unamused.

Make something with substance next time.

How very egotistical of you. The animation was pretty smooth and the camera work was pretty nice. The menu design at the end was a little nasty though, bad use of gradients. Even though there was some nice animation there isn't really anything to this as you already know. If you really want to show off your owning skills so much just upload the replay on Youtube or something.

"Quite A Step From The Norm"

A nice step however. A very interesting take on a sprite comedy, very subtle/dry humor and a mundane mood. The writing doesn't take itself too seriously and never strays into the realm of pop culture references or toilet humor or anything we're too often of seeing these days. Pretty much reminds me of old 90's cartoons, simple but humorous enough to get anyone laughing. I could see why people wouldn't like this, it's quite a huge step. Luckily, I was getting tired of dirty humor lately and it was nice to watch something that focused more on thought out writing and while silly doesn't ever get too ridiculous.

Animation was quite smooth I particularly enjoyed the camera work throughout. The sprite edits were really well done and had some great detail overall. I felt some backgrounds felt out of place say the hallway to the Triforce, but hey. Still, this is the most attention to detail I've seen with sprites for awhile.

While the voice of Link did catch me off guard I got used to it. It fits his character in this version so I really couldn't complain. I thought all the voices fitted fairly well just some of the random guards were off putting. Also enjoyed the music, 8-bit music never worked so well in a flash.

Loved it, wish more animators would try to get away from the usual such as yourself. Hopefully this will influence them to take a leap as well.

Comedy? Because I didn't laugh.

Action? Well hey, you had an energy beam, but I personally don't consider quickly bucket filled lasers that lasted a second as good action.

Parody? You had the video game part down and the stupid memes down. I think this is it.

Well, to be honest with you man, your parody sucks. This obviously took no effort as you stated yourself and there was nothing amusing about it at all. "Oh look its Samus! And what's she doing? Firin Her Lazer? Why thats..... thats..... stupid......"

Is that the reaction you were looking for because that's exactly what I got. Next time, actually put in some effort espacially if you want to submit it to Newgrounds.

"Had Plenty Of Potential, But Missed The Mark"

There were plenty of funny situations, but many of the jokes revolved around something pretty crude and vulgar and it seemed you were hoping that just the amount of the vulgarity would get us laughing, which seems to have worked for the majority of the people who have seen this. Unfortunately for me, farts being described as queefs, hearing Lady Gaga died by sucking dicks, and fuck being used for any kind of sentence/situation doesn't really work for me. Really it felt like Family Guy humor and I don't mean by references, I mean as in how the writers of Family Guy would often just voiced their opinion on some random thing or person and pretty much just criticize them with no punchline in sight. I thought James would've had some kind of humorous input on the Crotchless Chaps, but all he had to say was "Fuck" and ask about "boners." The opening scene I thought had some nice potential as well, but you just resorted to dirty writing.

Well, I'm disappointed in the writing, animation wise like people have already stated it's not your best work, but you already know that yourself. Coloring and shading was really nice though. Voicing I thought was actually pretty solid, people do the whole one man show all the time these days.

So, had my hopes shattered sadly, feels like you were trying to prove a point that this is really all you need to amuse the Newgrounds audience, or maybe I'm just reading too much into this and you yourself are amused by this kind of writing as well and decided to share the love. Next time, I hope you try to expand your writing outside the realm of "Fuck" and really try to write something that's funny that doesn't require a dirty sense of humor. Being a comedy I feel it has a very closed audience selection, or open and maybe I'm just being the one closed.

Keep it up, so far the majority of the site loves you. Try a little harder next time to get the rest of us too.

"I Have Never Hated Physics So Much!"

But man is it so fun! I really enjoyed every aspect of this game, the simple gameplay, enjoyable music and sounds, and I just love the graphics the 8-bit style fitted very well and were just so simple but delightful. Yes it is a very hard game, it took me as long as it did everyone else which is around half an hour. However, making the game really hard was a good decision, it's what makes us want to go back for more and more. I was also hoping for a little more at the end, some kind of bigger celebration, but alas.

Great game, very creative. Can't wait for more from you.

"Don't Get Me Wrong, The Awesome Series Is Great..."

But I just don't see the humor in this. Metal Gear Awesome is always funny, but how does incorporating a nautical theme into the fray make it even more amusing or just amusing in general? I think really this is something for more of the hardcore Awesome series fans or people who find their funny bone being tickled by nautical nonsense. I'm sure the one's who view this flash so highly are actually able to appreciate it's selected humor, unfortunately I'm not one of those people.

Well the writing was lame, but I did enjoy the drawings of the various animals. They had a very cartoony feel and were nicely colored and shaded. Background were usually just a plain color though, but I'm sure that's due to the parodying of a parody part of this. Voicing was of course nice as everyone else has already said.

As a comedy it fails completely in my opinion, but the parody is there alright. For your first real flash effort it sure doesn't feel like you put all your effort into this. I'll let this one slide and wait for your true real flash.

"Adding "Fuck" Into Every Line....."

Doesn't instantly make a joke funny. The constant use of fuck, random baby violence, random references, random balls joke, they all equal to a very low immature sense of humor. I tried to enjoy it loving the game myself and I do enjoy a video game parody every now and then, but this felt poorly attempted. Rather then actually writing more thought out jokes you just resorted to childish remarks and jokes if they could be classified as such.

But despite completely disliking the writing, I felt the drawings and coloring were well done. The animation somtimes though were just poorly done tweening. But a good amount were nicely animated.

Try to expand your sense of humor next time and don't be lazy with your animating is all I got to say .

Vast improvement to your older work. I liked how the action went with the music fairly well and the action in general was more fast paced. The story was surprisingly grim and the ending was a nice shocker compared to the norm. Voice actors did a nice job, VireMaster just needs a better mic or atleast fix up his audio.

Well, good job man, here's hoping your next projects don't take as long!
